First session

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Strengths

I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. Thus, I have created a safe space for you to heal and grow. If you want to learn more about how I can help, send me a message!

Ideal clients

You’re the kind of person who has always pushed forward, no matter what. On the outside, you’re accomplished, driven, and maybe even the one others turn to for support. But inside, there’s a weight—one you’ve carried for far too long. Maybe it’s the echoes of childhood trauma, painful relationships, or the deep wounds of sexual trauma. You’ve done your best to move on, but the past still lingers— you’re not broken, healing is possible; I look forward to helping you reclaim your future!

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, reframe negative beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies. Through structured techniques, we target the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to promote lasting emotional and behavioral change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients accept difficult emotions, defuse from unhelpful thoughts, and connect with their values. Through mindfulness and committed action, clients learn to build psychological flexibility and take meaningful steps toward a fulfilling life, even in the presence of emotional pain.

For my first session with Dr. Fenwick I was nervous going in but after awhile I felt comfortable. I feel like she’s genuine and a great listener.
