I have a master’s in social work with specialization in trauma and addiction recovery. I have been working with late teens and adults individually and in group. It is my intention to bring about healing with hope, kindness and information. I am a holistic practitioner, incorporating a variety of relaxation techniques, expressive art projects and coping strategies. I am certified in EMDR, holistic health coaching with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and as a Tai Chi Chih instructor.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other a bit and begin building a comfortable connection. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to achieve, and any goals or concerns you may have. I’ll also invite you to share about your life experiences and personal history at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to discuss anything before you are ready. During the session, I may ask questions about meaningful memories or experiences, including some of the best and most difficult moments in your life, to better understand your story and what has shaped you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have a lot of compassion and hope for people. I am client centered and when appropriate solution oriented.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, past trauma, or major life transitions and want a practical, compassionate space to better understand themselves and move forward with more clarity and confidence. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who appear to be functioning well on the outside but internally feel exhausted, stuck, disconnected, or emotionally stretched thin. They may struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, burnout, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or difficulty setting boundaries. Others come to therapy feeling emotionally numb, uncertain about their direction, or frustrated by patterns they can’t seem to change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Thought often contributes to the way we feel. Thoughts aren't always correct. Thoughts can be changed.

EMDR

The use of EMDR on trauma memories decreases the emotional charge attached to those memories
