Hello, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience, licensed in Mississippi, Texas, and California. I earned my Master of Social Work from Jackson State University and have dedicated my career to supporting adults navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and chronic stress. I’m especially passionate about helping individuals move from burnout and emotional exhaustion toward healing, balance, and a renewed sense of purpose.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you—not just your symptoms, but your story. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you to therapy, current stressors, and any experiences with trauma, grief, anxiety, or depression that may be impacting your life. We will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, and you won’t be expected to share everything at once. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and discuss possible directions for our work together, including treatment approaches that may best support your healing.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength is helping clients move beyond surface-level coping to address the deeper roots of emotional pain. I create a space that is both compassionate and structured—where clients feel supported while also gently encouraged toward meaningful growth and healing. My work is trauma-informed and integrates ACT-informed (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Compassion-Focused Therapy–informed, and Behavioral Activation–informed approaches, along with EMDR when appropriate. I focus on reducing shame, strengthening emotional resilience, and supporting lasting, meaningful change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief, especially those who feel emotionally drained, overwhelmed, or stuck. Many of my clients are used to pushing through but find it difficult to slow down or focus on themselves. I provide a practical, compassionate approach to help clients process difficult experiences, reduce distress, build emotional resilience and feel more in control.

EMDR
I am in training and consultation for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-supported therapy that helps the brain process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. EMDR can be helpful for individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, grief, or painful memories that continue to affect their daily life. In my practice, EMDR is approached in a thoughtful and paced way. We begin by building emotional stability and coping skills before moving into deeper trauma processing so clients feel safe and supported throughout the process. My goal is to help reduce the emotional intensity connected to painful experiences and support lasting healing and resilience.
Integrative
My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning I draw from several evidence-based approaches to support each client’s unique needs. In addition to EMDR, I incorporate ACT-informed (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Compassion-Focused Therapy–informed, and Behavioral Activation–informed approaches to support emotional regulation, build self-compassion, and help clients reconnect with meaningful aspects of life. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated therapy, honoring the role spirituality can play in healing and personal growth. By integrating these approaches, I aim to support both symptom relief and deeper, lasting change.

Tasha has been God sent. I have been looking for a therapist for a few years now and haven't quite been able to settle with someone who is both warm yet intuitive. I wanted someone who could listen well while also providing direct feedback, asking questions that forced me to dig deeper and overall had a lot of experience. I also wanted someone who provided therapy without making me feel like I was in therapy lol. Tasha does all of this and more. I'm grateful for her!
