First session
My hope is that they leave the session feeling a little lighter, more hopeful, and reassured that they do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. Most importantly, I want them to feel that we have begun building a trusting relationship where they can feel supported, work through challenges at their own pace, and move toward healing and personal growth.
Strengths
I believe that both my positive and challenging life experiences have shaped me into the therapist I am today. These experiences have helped me develop empathy, patience, understanding, and the ability to connect with people from different walks of life. I understand that everyone's journey is different, and I strive to meet each client where they are without judgment or assumptions. I bring both professional knowledge and real-life perspective into my sessions, allowing me to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. I believe these experiences help me approach each session with authenticity, compassion, and an understanding that growth and healing look different for everyone.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, work through life's challenges, and make positive changes, even if they are not sure where to start. I enjoy working with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. I also understand that sometimes people just need a safe space where they can talk openly and feel heard without being judged. I believe therapy is a journey, and everyone comes into it with different experiences, strengths, and needs. My goal is to meet each client where they are, help them recognize their potential, develop healthier coping skills, and build the confidence to navigate life's challenges. I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals from different backgrounds and walks of life, and I believe meaningful growth can happen when people feel supported, understood, and empowered.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My approach to therapy is about meeting people where they are and helping them feel comfortable opening up without fear of being judged. I believe everyone has the ability to grow and make positive changes in their lives, even when things feel difficult. I use a person-centered approach by listening, showing empathy, and helping clients understand their feelings and experiences. I want my clients to know that they are heard, valued, and supported. I help clients recognize their strengths, build self-esteem, develop healthy coping skills, and work through life's challenges at their own pace. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can be themselves, gain a better understanding of who they are, and feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
