(she/her)
I'm a psychotherapist and Clinical Social Worker with 26 years experience providing mental health care for individuals, couples and families. I have experience providing brief and long-term therapy with adolescents and adults coping with a spectrum of mental health conditions; grief and loss; relationship issues; occupational problems and social injustices. It's exciting when relief and hope grow from therapy and the relationship supports meaningful change.
Introductions; express your needs for therapy; there is opportunity to begin to assess if the relationship feels like a good fit.
I'm very supportive in session. I have a great deal of knowledge about mental health treatment.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults; males and females; non-binary clients and clients who identify as LGBTQ, or transgender. I have considerable experience providing mental health services for clients of diverse cultures and ethnicities. I recently worked at an Army Community Hospital where I spent a decade providing clinical services for Active Duty Service Members and their families.

Provider laughed at me when I began discussing my trans identity. She was condescending, cold, and unhelpful. When I brought up a specific issue I wanted to work through she brushed me off to ask the same generic questions she’d already asked the previous session. She never circled back to any of the topics I wanted to talk about. When I canceled our final session several days in advance she claimed it was a late cancellation, even after I sent proof it was cancelled several days in advance.
