My name is Jill Epstein Jones, LCSW. I have been practicing as a clinical social worker for over 35 years. I have a degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and a degree in Public Health from Yale University. I assess and treat people with the full spectrum of anxiety and mood disorders which include bipolar disorder and OCD. I provided a personalized approach and use eclectic therapies as fitting each individual. If an approach is not working, we try something else. I work with people who have struggled with Cancer and MS. I work with women who are coping with domestic violence. I also work with addictions which include alcohol, drugs and/or gambling.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During an initial session, I will introduce myself. I will ask you about your history, and I get a framework to better understand you. You will get a sense of my style and approach, and how we can work together. I will ask you about ways you have been successful in coping and managing your challenges in the past. We will create goals/a treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have been successful engaging people in treatment, and determining what approaches work for them. My approach is eclectic which includes CBT, Mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches. I have worked with people for 15 years and on a short-term basis. My general approach is to address the problem presented, and once they feel successful, they can leave therapy and come back if needed. Some people have come back 6 months or up to 10 years later. They may come back for a refresher course of up to three sessions or for a longer time. My practice is individualized to your needs. I provide individual therapy as well as couple's treatment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with a wide range of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions. I work with the LBGTQ+ community individually or in couples' treatment. I work with people with adjustment disorders and with people struggling with long term challenges. I have experience and enjoy working with all people. I specialized in individual and couple's treatment.
