I am a licensed clinical social worker and I have been practicing social work for the past 8 years. I am also a mother, wife, and a multitasker. I got into social work with the desire to help others. Growing up, I was always the one person people could turn to when they need someone to talk to and have someone listen.

Having someone you can trust and talk to can be beneficial to get you through those life changing moments and to come up with a plan on how to move forward.

Life can be crazy, hectic, and take turns, that we did not necessarily plan for ourselves. I am here to help you navigate those unexpected turns. Having someone you can trust and talk to can be beneficial to get you through those life changing moments. My goal is to be that person for you. Together, we will work on building our therapeutic relationship and making therapy a safe place.

First session

During our first session I will ask questions about your history, your current situation, what lead you to therapy, and your goals for yourself. This session will be used to get to know each other better and to start building trust within our therapeutic relationship.

Strengths

When I am with a client, I give them my full attention. I am a non-judgmental, easy going person who believes in second chances. I will use reflective and supportive listening and empathy throughout our sessions, and ask open ended questions to better understand my clients situation.

Ideal clients

Coming to therapy and being vulnerable is not easy. I am looking for a client that is ready to grow, heal, process, and become the best version of themselves. I love working with clients and helping them address their challenges, come up with coping skills, brainstorm ideas, formulate solutions, and watch them grow and become confident in themselves. My goal for my clients, is for them to achieve their goals that they set for themselves.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is used to focus on a persons thoughts and feelings. These thoughts can typically be negative and unhealthy. In therapy, we will utilize this method to reframe your thought process to improve your mental health and well being.
