Many people are unsure how to help their family members or friends that are struggling with mental health or substance use, or where to seek help for themselves. I have spent the last 6 years working in substance use and mental health treatment and have had the privilege of meeting and working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in individual, group, and family settings.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My aim in our first session is to get to know you as much as you are comfortable with. I find focusing on forming a strong bond is more important that seeking immediate answers. Together we will work to find out what you're looking for help with and how I can best assist you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am particularly skilled at connecting with adolescents and young adults who may be hesitant or resistant to approach treatment or therapy by creating a strong therapeutic connection in an environment where they can feel safe

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults, couples, and families who are looking for support, insight, and practical tools to navigate life's challenges. Whether you're experiencing stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, or a major life transition, therapy can provide a space to better understand what's happening and identify a path forward. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to grow, strengthen their relationships, and build on their existing strengths. Together, we can explore challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Relational

My approach is relational, which means I pay close attention to the therapeutic relationship as an important part of the work we do together. I aim to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients can feel understood and safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns in relationships. Together, we look at how these patterns show up in everyday life and use that awareness to support meaningful change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as part of my approach, which helps clients explore how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we look at patterns that may be contributing to distress and work on developing more helpful ways of thinking and coping. CBT often includes practical tools and strategies that clients can use in their daily lives to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges.
