My name is Sarah Pair, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I work with individuals dealing with various issues related to marriage, parenting difficulties, grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, everyday life stress, and difficult life transitions. I meet you where you are without judgment, validating your emotions while working collaboratively with you to support growth, healing, and self-understanding.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first therapy session, you can expect a warm, welcoming conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. I will ask about current concerns, personal history, and goals, while also explaining the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and what future sessions might look like. It's a collaborative space designed to build trust and lay the foundation for meaningful work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy as well as incorporating various other modalities tailored to meet patient needs. My aim is to work collaboratively with you using a strengths-based approach to help you achieve identified goals. My communication style is laid back, and I aim to meet you where you are in a safe, non-judgmental environment. My approach is trauma-informed, and I believe in the intrinsic value and worth of every person. I incorporate empathy and compassion in every session.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support patients in identifying and transforming unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. In my practice, I integrate CBT techniques to help individuals recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and actions and to develop practical strategies for lasting change. My approach emphasizes collaboration, skill-building, and self-reflection empowering clients to challenge negative beliefs, manage distress, and enhance overall well-being.

Strength-Based

I incorporate a strength-based approach in my practice focusing on existing abilities, resources, and resilience to promote growth and empowerment. Rather than centering on problems or deficits, I help patients identify and build upon their strengths to navigate challenges and achieve their goals. This approach fosters confidence, self-efficacy, and positive change by recognizing each person’s inherent capacity for healing and development.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help patients identify goals and focus on practical steps toward positive change. I emphasize existing strengths and past successes to build motivation and confidence. By concentrating on solutions rather than problems, I support patients in developing clear, achievable strategies leading to meaningful and lasting improvements in their lives.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to support patients in exploring and strengthening their own motivation for change. Through a collaborative and empathetic approach, I help patients resolve ambivalence, clarify their values, and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes. This approach encourages personal autonomy and helps patients take purposeful steps toward their goals.
