New to Grow
My approach to therapy is compassionate, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to heal, grow, and better understand themselves. I take my work seriously and deeply value the trust clients place in me. My goal is to help individuals feel more confident, grounded, and capable of navigating life’s challenges while building healthier coping skills and stronger self-awareness.
During our first session, we will focus on building rapport and creating a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable being yourself. This session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building trust. You are welcome to share as much or as little about yourself as you feel comfortable with, and I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy. Together, we will begin exploring what brought you to therapy, discuss what support may look like for you, and create a foundation for a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and understanding.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to build strong, trusting therapeutic relationships with clients. My experience working in a trauma-focused setting at a child advocacy center allowed me to work closely with children, teens, and adults navigating trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, and difficult life experiences using trauma-informed care and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Through this work, I learned the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing process. My therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic and strengths-based perspectives, meaning I focus on each client’s resilience, individuality, and capacity for growth. I strive to meet clients where they are while helping them build healthier coping skills, increase self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change. I deeply value the trust clients place in me, and I approach therapy with compassion, authenticity, and genuine care. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of seeing clients grow in confidence, heal from painful experiences, and develop a stronger sense of self and emotional well-being.
I am best positioned to support teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, and feelings of not fully fitting in or belonging. I especially enjoy working with individuals who may be struggling with cultural identity, racial stressors, self-esteem, life and work transition, and struggling in relationships. Many of my clients are seeking a space where they can feel understood, supported, and empowered while learning healthier coping skills, building confidence, and reconnecting with their sense of self. My approach is compassionate, culturally aware, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we work on identifying negative thought patterns, building healthier coping skills, and creating practical strategies for managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and everyday stressors. I strive to make therapy feel supportive, collaborative, and empowering while helping clients feel more confident in navigating life’s challenges.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop healthier ways to cope with overwhelming emotions, stress, and relationship challenges. DBT focuses on mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs, helping them feel more balanced, empowered, and supported in their healing process.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell themselves about their lives, experiences, and identity. Together, we work to separate the person from the problem, identify strengths and resilience, and reframe harmful or limiting narratives shaped by past experiences, trauma, relationships, or societal expectations. My approach is collaborative, empowering, and focused on helping clients create a more compassionate and authentic understanding of themselves.
Trauma Informed Care
My approach to therapy is rooted in trauma-informed care, meaning I understand how trauma and adverse experiences can affect emotions, relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning. I prioritize creating a safe and compassionate environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healing journey. I work collaboratively with clients to build coping skills, foster resilience, and support healing in a way that feels safe and individualized to their needs.
Humanistic
Humanistic therapy focuses on helping clients better understand themselves, their emotions, and their personal values in a supportive and compassionate environment. I strive to create a space where clients feel accepted and empowered to grow, heal, and navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness and confidence. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and centered on each client’s unique experiences and strengths.
