Parisa Mehrinfar
Trust that gut instinct telling you something needs to change. With over 10 years of experience helping individuals, families, and couples navigate life’s challenges, my specialties include ADHD, Borderline Personality, Life Transitions, Trauma, and Relationship Issues. I focus on building self-esteem and creating stronger, healthier connections—starting with the most important relationship of all: the one you have with yourself. In our work together, I will support you in discovering your strengths, understanding your unique needs, and developing the tools to improve your life and relationships. Whether you’re navigating the complexities of a diagnosis, learning how to communicate better with a partner, initiating your healing journey, or seeking personal growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way. I'm not an advice giver; I'm your accountability coach. Let's start building a more fulfilling life together!
First session
In our first session I like to address "why now?" I also conduct a brief survey of your history, behavior patterns, and attachment style- this helps me understand your Lense of the world.
Strengths
I'm consistently grounded and unshakably present- especially when things get hard.
Ideal clients
I love working with clients across all stages of life, with a particular passion for supporting young adults as they navigate the transitions, challenges, and uncertainty that often come with this season of life. Whether you’re adjusting to changes in relationships, career, identity, independence, or simply trying to figure out your next step, therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with yourself. I also bring years of experience working with children and families in the home, supporting clients through behavioral, emotional, and relational challenges. This experience has given me a deep understanding of family dynamics and the ways our early experiences can shape the patterns we carry into adulthood. If you feel like you’re stuck on the same hamster wheel—repeating the same negative thoughts, behaviors, relationship patterns, or emotional cycles—therapy can be a place to step off that wheel and begin creating something different. Together, we can explore where these patterns come from, build greater self-awareness, and develop healthier, more adaptive ways of responding.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and learn how to look at situations in more balanced and realistic ways. By changing the way we think about ourselves and our experiences, we can create positive changes in how we feel and behave, making it easier to take action and move forward.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have experience facilitating DBT support groups in residential settings for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder, abandonment issues, substance use disorder, suicidal ideation, and other high acuity symptoms.
Trauma Informed Care
My trauma-informed approach emphasizes safety, trust, and empowerment, helping clients heal from past experiences while developing practical tools to navigate life's challenges.
Attachment-based
Attachment Theory explores how our early relationships can shape the way we connect, communicate, trust, and navigate intimacy as adults. In my practice, I help clients recognize relationship patterns, understand the emotions and beliefs behind them, and develop healthier ways of communicating, setting boundaries, and building secure, fulfilling relationships.
