Tamitra Pannell
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist passionate about creating safe, affirming spaces where healing, self-discovery, and personal transformation can flourish. My practice centers on empowering women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating diverse relationship structures, including consensual non-monogamy.
Empowering healing through trauma-informed, affirming care that honors your mind, body, spirit, and authentic self.
Through a compassionate, culturally responsive approach, I integrate evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, with holistic healing practices and spirituality when aligned with each client's beliefs and values. I believe healing is not about changing who you are, but embracing your authentic self, reclaiming your power, and creating a life rooted in emotional wellness and purpose.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to connect, explore what brings you to therapy, and begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. We'll discuss your experiences, concerns, and goals while creating a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you can show up as your authentic self. There is no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with or have everything figured out. Together, we'll explore what healing means to you and develop a personalized approach that honors your identity, values, and unique journey. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and empowered to take the next step toward healing.
Strengths
I bring compassion, authenticity, cultural humility, and a deep understanding of how trauma impacts our emotional well-being, relationships, and sense of self. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to show up as their authentic selves. I recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all, which is why I integrate evidence-based practices, including EMDR, with a holistic perspective that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. What distinguishes my approach is my commitment to understanding the intersection of trauma, identity, culture, spirituality, and lived experiences, particularly for women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and historically marginalized communities. I balance gentle compassion with thoughtful challenges, helping clients move beyond survival, rediscover their strengths, and cultivate meaningful, lasting transformation.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to explore their healing journey, even if they are unsure where to begin. I am especially passionate about supporting women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating diverse relationship structures, including consensual non-monogamy. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, or the emotional exhaustion of constantly showing up for others while neglecting themselves. They may struggle with self-worth, boundaries, or breaking generational patterns that no longer serve them. I welcome individuals who are curious about exploring the connection between emotional wellness, spirituality, and personal growth, while honoring those who prefer a purely clinical approach. You do not need to have everything figured out or even know what healing looks like yet. All I ask is that you come as you are, with a willingness to explore, grow, and rediscover the power of your authentic self.
Treatment methods
EMDR
I incorporate EMDR into a trauma-informed, collaborative approach to help clients process distressing experiences. We move at your pace, building coping skills and focusing on safety and readiness throughout treatment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence their daily experiences and overall well-being. Through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach, I support clients in identifying unhelpful thought patterns, challenging limiting beliefs, and developing healthier coping strategies. I integrate CBT with self-compassion, mindfulness, and holistic healing practices to help clients strengthen emotional resilience, reclaim their sense of self-worth, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Attachment-based
I use attachment-based therapy to help clients explore how early relationships and life experiences influence their emotional well-being, sense of self-worth, and connections with others. Through a trauma-informed, compassionate, and culturally affirming approach, I support clients in identifying attachment patterns, healing relational wounds, and developing healthier boundaries and more secure relationships. My goal is to create a safe therapeutic space where clients can strengthen emotional connections, build trust, and cultivate meaningful relationships while honoring their unique identities, experiences, and relationship structures.
