New to Grow
Hello! I have been in the field since my first graduate degree in 1998. I have vast experience with humans suffering from all sorts of mental health needs and I also have life experiences which translate into a genuine, real understanding and desire to help others. I enjoy partnering to set goals, engage in therapeutic work, and watch the growth and healing occur. I believe that education is extremely valuable and have two other graduate degrees as well. I use my education and experience to help others live healthier, happier, more fulfilling lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and ensure that we are a good therapeutic fit. We will complete an assessment to determine what concerns you are having that bring you to therapy and we will discuss, as a partnership, what goals you would like to work towards.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I would say that my greatest strength is that I am a real, genuine person with a skillset and desire to help. I have had great success in helping others, through a therapeutic alliance and support, achieve goals they once thought were unattainable.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have vast experience working with humans of all ages but prefer to work with those who are 12 and above. I enjoy helping clients work towards their goals and living their best lives. I am experienced in working with those in all stages of life and have extensive experience in medical social work, family issues, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma history.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help those suffering from anxiety, depression, and PTSD. CBT is used to help change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. It is goal oriented and highly effective for motivated individuals.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help those suffering from personality disorders, impulsivity, self-harming behaviors. DBT is useful to promote positive behavioral changes.
Couples Counseling
I typically use the Gottman Method when working with couples. Counseling involves relearning how to communicate and engage to have a fuller, more satisfying relationship.
Grief Therapy
Grief therapy is helpful to those who have suffered a real or perceived loss. I educate on the cycle and support those working through it.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I have used this method to help clients cope with traumatic experiences to work through the trauma, learn coping skills, and change thoughts/ behaviors to gain greater control over their lives.
