New to Grow
My approach combines practical insight with reflective conversation to help you better understand yourself and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. I specialize in identifying and understanding traumatic experiences, relationship conflict, and increasing self-esteem. My approach is particularly attuned to supporting individuals and couples seeking authentic conversation in a safe space. I understand the profound impact of isolation, shame, and life purpose struggles, and I'm committed to creating a supportive environment where healing and personal growth can flourish. My therapeutic work focuses on helping clients process difficult experiences, rebuild connections, and develop resilience. Whether you're dealing with mood disorders, relationship conflicts, or seeking guidance through significant life changes, I offer a thoughtful, understanding approach that honors your unique journey.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
First impressions matter, and I understand that the first session is often about you deciding whether I’m someone with whom you feel comfortable sharing your most vulnerable thoughts and feelings. Because of that, I’m just as interested in helping you get to know me as I am in getting to know you. During our first meeting, I’ll ask some questions to understand your story, your experiences, and what brings you to counseling. These aren’t trick questions meant to uncover “what’s wrong with you.” They’re simply a way for us to begin understanding what you’ve been navigating and what you might want to work toward. I also welcome your questions. Therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest—about what you’re struggling with, what you hope will change, and even about whether I’m the right person to help you. My goal is to create a space where you can talk openly about the things that feel difficult to say anywhere else. And if after meeting, you feel that my approach isn’t what you need, that’s completely okay. Finding the right fit is an important part of the process. As we begin working together, you can expect our conversations to be thoughtful, collaborative, and paced in a way that feels manageable. Rather than rushing to solutions, we’ll take time to understand the patterns, reactions, and experiences that have shaped how you respond to stress, relationships, and life transitions. Over time, many clients find that this process leads to greater clarity, more stable ways of responding to challenges, and a deeper understanding of themselves. My role is not to “fix” you, but to help you make sense of what you’ve been navigating and support you in moving forward in a way that feels more grounded and aligned.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where people feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing—sometimes for the first time. Many clients tell me they appreciate that our conversations feel natural and thoughtful rather than overly clinical or scripted. My approach focuses on helping people slow down and understand the patterns shaping their thoughts, reactions, and relationships. When we take time to reflect on those patterns, many clients begin to gain clarity about why they respond to stress, conflict, or life transitions the way they do. From there, our work often becomes less about “fixing problems” and more about developing healthier ways of responding to life with greater awareness, stability, and confidence.
