About me

Greetings! I am a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification. I am the sole clinician for Newfound Peace Therapy, LLC. My passion resides in providing a safe, warm, and comfortable environment where you can truly be yourself. I integrate different theoretical models throughout practice. I enjoy the concept and embracing Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Person-Centered therapy with humanistic approaches. I have worked in a psychiatric setting and a community-based environment, serving children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have worked with diverse populations, including clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), sexual behavior problems, stress management, self-esteem, trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about creating a safe and comfortable space for you to share what brings you to therapy. I understand that starting this process can feel uncertain or even intimidating, so my focus is on helping you feel at ease from the very beginning. During this initial session, I’ll ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—you can share as much or as little as you’re ready to. This is a time for me to listen, understand your story, and begin building a foundation of trust and collaboration. You can also expect that our first meeting will move at your pace. We’ll explore what’s been most challenging for you recently and begin identifying your goals for therapy, but we’ll do so in a way that feels supportive and respectful of where you are emotionally. I often help clients clarify what they want to work on, whether it’s reducing anxiety, processing trauma, improving relationships, or strengthening self-esteem. Together, we’ll begin to shape a plan that feels both manageable and meaningful—one that focuses on steady progress rather than perfection. By the end of our first session, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead. You’ll have a clearer idea of what therapy with me looks like—grounded in empathy, honesty, and collaboration. Over time, we’ll continue to build upon this foundation as you gain tools for emotional regulation, insight into your patterns, and confidence in your ability to create change. The first session is just the beginning of that journey—and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I integrate different theoretical models throughout practice. I have worked in a psychiatric setting and a community-based environment, serving children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have worked with diverse populations, including clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sexual behavior problems, stress management, self-esteem, trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am committed to working with individuals and families towards their desired goals. I believe with hard work and persistence, you can be who you envision yourself to be. I am further committed to helping clients develop necessary skills that empower them to sustain a well-balanced and happier life. I am committed to implementing interventions specific to your needs. I have full understanding that the therapeutic process can be challenging to some. I believe in building rapport and offering unconditional acceptance.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to make sense of their emotions, relationships, and experiences—even if they don’t know where to begin. Many come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. They may be struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, or the lingering effects of family conflict. What unites them is a desire for peace, clarity, and self-understanding. My approach creates a space where clients feel safe to explore those deeper emotions and begin healing at their own pace. I work with both adults and adolescents navigating trauma, emotional distress, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients have experienced patterns of criticism, neglect, or instability that continue to impact how they see themselves and others. In therapy, we focus on strengthening emotional awareness, developing healthy coping tools, and rebuilding trust in oneself. Whether clients are processing childhood trauma, navigating major life transitions, or learning to set healthier boundaries, I meet them where they are—with empathy, structure, and clinical insight. If you’re reading this and recognizing parts of yourself in these words, know that you are exactly where you need to be. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy—just the willingness to show up as you are. My ideal clients are those who are ready to explore, heal, and grow at their own pace, supported with compassion and care every step of the way.
