I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in CA and TN and a telehealth LMFT provider in Florida. I have specialized training in EMDR for trauma and the Gottman Method for relationships. With 15+ years of experience, I’ve worked with children, teens, parents, couples, and individuals across a range of settings, including non-profit community and county mental health services, as well as Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, where I have supported clients with concerns ranging from mild to severe, including crisis situations. My passion is helping individuals improve self-esteem, unlearn codependent behaviors, resolve trauma, and recover from narcissistic/relational abuse. I also love helping couples strengthen their connection by working through common barriers to closeness, such as ineffective communication, poor conflict management and differences in attachment styles. Working with me in therapy is a chance for you to slow down and become more aware of what’s happening beneath the surface. Without understanding why, many people find themselves repeating painful patterns or carrying the weight of past experiences. My experience with trauma, emotionally focused work, and complex family systems allows me to help clients discover, understand and process the deeper roots of their thoughts, reactions, and relationship patterns. If this resonates with you and you're ready to heal, change harmful patterns, create healthier relationships and a stronger sense of self, I invite you to reach out to schedule an appointment or request a consultation. It’s an honor to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery and I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, safe and understood. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, deepen your self-awareness, and build tools to help you feel more connected, balanced, and at peace—so you can create a life that feels more fulfilling, peaceful and authentic.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first step in therapy is creating a sense of trust and comfort, so you feel safe sharing the more personal parts of your life. I strive to offer an experience that is warm, open, nonjudgmental, and compassionate— a space that is all about you where you can feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. We will move at a pace that is comfortable for you because successful therapy is built on a strong therapeutic relationship and client's sense of safety. Together, with my guidance and your willingness to engage in the process of self-reflection and growth, we can help you create meaningful change. When getting started, we’ll gently review your intake information and talk through what’s been bringing you in, along with your hopes and goals. From there, we’ll work collaboratively to create a personalized treatment plan with clear, achievable steps that support the changes you’re looking for.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a genuine, curious, and compassionate presence to my work, grounded in meaningful life experience and an understanding of how complex and challenging life can be. I have firsthand experience with complicated family dynamics, marriage, parenting, and personal loss, which allows me to meet you with empathy, openness, and without judgment. I’m not afraid of life’s messiness, and I’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you so you can begin to open up and feel safe. As trust develops, I take a supportive yet gently challenging and more directive approach to help foster meaningful growth and lasting change. I use an eclectic, client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring methods to your unique needs and goals. To help you manage unhelpful thought patterns and reduce emotional distress, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). For trauma work, I use Attachment-Based EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which can help process past experiences that may be keeping you stuck. When working with couples, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method—both evidence-based approaches that support deeper connection, improved communication, and repair by addressing the underlying causes of distress. I’ve supported couples in healing from significant relational challenges, including infidelity, and have worked extensively with individuals navigating the effects of neglectful or traumatic childhoods—experiences that can deeply impact one’s sense of self and ability to trust others, and even themselves.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in helping couples who feel stuck in patterns of communication or behavior that create distance and erode connection, as well as those coping with significant relational challenges such as sexual, financial, or emotional infidelity. I also work with adults struggling with codependency, low self-esteem, or the effects of abusive or narcissistic relationships—often rooted in traumatic or neglectful childhood experiences. If you’re ready to heal old wounds, develop greater emotional awareness, strengthen your communication skills, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself and others, I can help.

My treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I have extensive experience working with couples and teaching them to focus on the emotion underneath the words when communicating. Using EFT to identify and communicate feelings and needs helps lower defenses between people and therefore strengthen connection because genuine vulnerability helps clients feel seen, heard and validated.

Attachment-based

Attachment styles are formed early in life and have a significant impact on how we view ourselves and the world. I work with attachment-based therapy to help clients understand their relationship style and how it affects their behaviors in relationships, including the one with themselves.

Couples Counseling

I work with couples to help strengthen communication skills, improve conflict resolution and make repair. For couples work, I often used the researched based Gottman Method.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use EMDR trauma therapy to help unlock trapped feelings in the body and deeply held beliefs. EMDR is an effective treatment for trauma as it helps release the stored experience, reframe harmful negative self-beliefs around the trauma, and open new pathways to help you react differently to present day triggers.
