Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk through what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, strengths, and the challenges you’re facing, but you set the pace — there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. Together, we’ll begin mapping out a plan tailored to your needs, using approaches that feel right for you. My priority is creating a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered from the very start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are my ability to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly seen and understood, and my skill in tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs. With 15+ years of experience, I bring depth, warmth, and flexibility to my work, blending evidence-based practices with a holistic, trauma-informed approach. I am especially skilled at helping clients navigate complex life challenges, heal from trauma, and build resilience. My openness to integrating mind, body, and spirit — including a spiritual lens when appropriate — allows me to meet clients wherever they are in their journey and support them in reconnecting with their inner strengths.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice is best suited for children (ages 5+), teens, adults, and older adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and major life transitions. I especially welcome clients who want a safe, compassionate space to process experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with their strengths. I work well with survivors of violence, immigrants, unaccompanied youth, LGBTQ+ individuals, and families facing complex challenges. My clients often seek both evidence-based support and a holistic, whole-person approach that can include mind-body-spirit integration and a spiritual perspective when helpful.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts affect their feelings and actions. Together, we work on replacing unhelpful patterns with healthier ways of thinking and coping, so clients feel more in control of their mood, stress, and daily life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients learn new ways to handle difficult thoughts and feelings while focusing on what matters most to them. This approach supports growth, balance, and living a more meaningful life.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how early relationships shape the way they connect with others today. Together, we work on building healthier, more secure connections and strengthening self-worth.

Christian Counseling

I offer Christian counseling for clients who wish to bring their faith into the healing process. Together, we explore life’s challenges through both therapeutic tools and spiritual guidance, helping strengthen hope, resilience, and connection with God.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage overwhelming emotions, cope with stress in healthier ways, and strengthen their relationships. Together, we focus on building balance between acceptance and change.
