Hi! I am Jaclyn. I have an extensive history working with individuals of all ages, functioning levels, and settings. I received my bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University where I studied Psychology. I then received my Master’s degree from Chestnut Hill College where I studied Clinical and Counseling Psychology. Since my undergraduate I have worked alongside my clients to address past traumas and symptoms of unresolved experiences.
Our first session will be getting to know one another with client’s expectations and exploring client’s needs and strengths. Although some client’s may struggle to identify some of these, casual conversations can lead to an understanding together.
My clients have told me that they appreciate my authenticity and humor. I meet my clients where they’re at in each moment and encourage them to use skills and pacing that is best for each of them. Just like we all grow at different rates, we also learn and heal at different rates as well.
We will work collaboratively to develop specific goals that are attainable. Having a long-term goal is great but I find my clients thrive when we can identify their ‘why’ as well as implement smaller goals, too! My ultimate goal is for my clients to feel heard, comfortable, and safe.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a goal oriented way to understand how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected; and learning how to change patterns that aren't helping you feel your best.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a way we talk together that helps you figure out what *you* want to change and why. I'm here to help you sort through mixed feelings and find your own motivation.
Strength-Based
As each client is unique with their own strengths that are already working for them, it is important to include this individuality to promote success.
Trauma-Focused CBT
Trauma-focused CBT is a way of helping you process difficult or overwhelming experiences so they don't feel as intense or controlling anymore.
Psychodynamic
Sometimes patterns we learned earlier in life- especially in relationships- keep showing up without us realizing it. In this approach, we slow down and explore those patterns so you can understand them and have more choice in how you respond now.

Jaclyn was very helpful in setting attainable goals to accomplish without adding any additional stress to my day. She was calm, relatable, understanding, and very clear with her goals for our sessions from here on out. I’m looking forward to our next session!
