Sarah Jones
Understand, Reframe, and Navigate Human Behavior. Human behavior is rarely random. The way we communicate, react, withdraw, persuade, accommodate, or push back usually serves a purpose, even when the pattern is creating problems in our lives. I work with people navigating complicated relationship dynamics, particularly when boundaries, persuasion, control, or manipulation have become part of the equation. Sometimes that means recognizing how someone else’s behavior is influencing you. Other times, it means taking an honest look at patterns in your own behavior and understanding what keeps them going. You may have noticed that you’ve already considered change. Maybe you understand what you should do but find yourself responding the same way anyway. Maybe you keep giving in, questioning yourself, or getting pulled into interactions that leave you wondering what just happened.
Understand Behavioral Patterns, Strengthen Boundaries, and Build Healthier Relationships.
Therapy with me is about looking beneath the behavior rather than reducing it to a label. We’ll examine what drives the pattern, what it accomplishes, and how you can respond more deliberately. Visit our website to learn more www.theabscenter.com
First session
During our first session, we’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, what you hope to change, and what you’d like to better understand about yourself and your relationships. We’ll begin identifying patterns that may be contributing to your challenges and establish goals for therapy. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan focused on building self-awareness, developing healthier responses, and creating meaningful change.
Strengths
My goal is to help you understand yourself so deeply that you begin to recognize your patterns as they happen and feel empowered to respond differently. Through a combination of cognitive-behavioral strategies and exploration of behavioral patterns, we'll work toward greater self-trust, emotional freedom, and a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with young and middle aged adults who want to better understand themselves and the interpersonal dynamics that shape their lives. Together, we explore behavioral patterns, strengthen communication, establish effective boundaries, and recognize unhealthy or manipulative dynamics. Whether you struggle with anxiety, people pleasing, low self-esteem, or relationship challenges, our work focuses on building self-awareness, confidence, and healthier ways of navigating relationships.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Learn to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another and contribute to ongoing challenges. CBT focuses on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, developing healthier ways of responding, and building practical skills to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and navigate everyday situations with greater confidence.
Interpersonal
This modality can help clients recognize patterns in their relationships, understand how interactions with others affect their thoughts and feelings, and identify what keeps them stuck. It focuses on building healthier communication, setting boundaries, and responding to relationship challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
