I have found that many people enter therapy not because of a complex mental health issue but because of a general feeling of life not being what they would like it to be. I've been there. Many years ago I embarked on my own personal growth journey and I believe that has made me a more compassionate, empathic therapist. I am very active in the therapeutic process and give direct feedback and suggestions for implementing lifestyle changes. I have been a therapist for over 30 years, specializing primarily in depression/anxiety, relationship issues, and addiction/alcoholism. I believe that pain shared is pain lessened and that people can and do recover from issues that have been troubling them for years. I work with individuals and couples. I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach. Think you're ready to start making the changes that you've been thinking about for quite some time? Call me. Let's talk about it. Evening and weekend appointments are available.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and understood. We’ll start by talking about what brought you in and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I’ll ask some gentle questions about your history, your current concerns, and what support looks like for you. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready—this session moves at your pace. We’ll also talk about how I work, what you can expect from me, and how we can collaborate moving forward. By the end, we’ll have a clearer sense of your goals and whether we’re a good fit to continue together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets me apart as a therapist is my ability to create a space where people feel deeply seen, heard, and understood. I blend evidence‑based approaches with genuine curiosity and compassion, helping clients feel safe enough to explore the parts of themselves they’ve learned to hide. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, and I strive to build a therapeutic relationship that feels collaborative, empowering, and uniquely tailored to each person’s story.
