My name is Adalia Dominique. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with six years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, transitions, and periods of personal growth. Taking the step to seek therapy is meaningful, and I’m glad you’re giving yourself the opportunity to receive support and invest in your well-being. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and openly exploring what’s on your mind. My approach is collaborative and personalized, allowing us to work together in a way that feels meaningful to you and supports the goals you want to achieve for your growth.

First session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to get a feel for what therapy with me will be like. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. We’ll work together to begin identifying your goals and determine how I can best support you moving forward.

Strengths

I bring warmth, empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand you and your experiences. I want our sessions to feel like a space where you can be yourself, speak openly, and know that you will be met without judgment. As we work together, I’ll help you make connections, recognize patterns, and look at situations from different perspectives. I’m here to support you, but I’ll also gently challenge you when needed, especially when certain thoughts or patterns may be keeping you stuck. Most importantly, our work will be tailored to you, your needs, and the pace that feels right for you.

Ideal clients

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You may be dealing with anxiety, stress, relationship or family challenges, life transitions, or simply trying to better understand yourself and where you are in life. What matters most to me is that you’re willing to learn, explore, and be open to the process. Together, we can work toward understanding your thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns while helping you develop greater self-awareness and make changes that feel meaningful to you.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you identify and understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to current challenges. In our sessions, we work to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build coping strategies that can be applied in everyday life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help you develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. Together, we explore personal values, practice acceptance and mindfulness, and identify meaningful actions that support the life clients want to create.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered approach to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. Together, we explore your experiences, emotions, and needs at your own pace while building on your strengths and helping you gain greater self-awareness and confidence in the choices that feel right for you.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use a solution-focused approach to help you identify what you want to change and recognize the strengths and resources you already have. Together, we focus on what is working, explore practical solutions, and develop realistic steps that can help you move toward your goals.
