Hey! I am Dr. Martecia "Tecii" Oates and I am a licensed professional counselor servicing clients in CO, FL and OK. I specialize in working with current and former athletes, college students, and adults navigating major life transitions between the ages of 16 and 40. My clients often struggle with anxiety, depression, low confidence, or feeling overwhelmed by what’s next. In our first session, we will begin with brief introductions and then discuss what brings you to therapy today. I do not want our sessions to feel as if I am interrogating you, so we will only discuss as much as you are open to discussing.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a nonjudgmental, supportive environment where clients feel safe enough to be themselves. I know it takes real courage to reach out for help, and I want you to feel genuinely welcomed and understood as soon as we begin working together. By keeping things open and collaborative, my goal is to help you build the confidence to dive into the work that matters most to you. Together, we’ll create a foundation that supports real growth and change, both in our sessions and in your everyday life.
