I began my career in social work after having two sons with Autism and witnessing firsthand the challenges and injustices families can face. This inspired me to help others feel supported and to ensure they have someone in their corner rooting for them. I became a mental health provider because I am passionate about helping people regain their lives, find hope for better days, and overcome difficult situations and traumatic events. Life can have ups and downs, and it’s okay to ask for help and say, “this is hard.” I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and have been practicing in social work since 2007. My experience spans medical social work, counseling, and mental health, and I primarily work with adults navigating life transitions, difficult stressors (work, family, or medical), chronic health conditions, and pain. I believe that wellness is holistic — we do not get sick one way or get well one way. I am committed to supporting you in your mental health journey while also helping you access the medical care you may need to achieve overall well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll slow down and focus on building comfort and trust. You’ll have space to share what’s bringing you in, ask questions, and talk about what you hope to get out of therapy. I’ll guide you with gentle structure, gathering some background at your pace—no pressure to tell everything at once. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and what support might feel most helpful. My priority is creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and not alone as we begin this journey. You don’t need to prepare—just come as you are.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in creating a warm, grounding space where clients feel deeply seen and supported. I bring a trauma-informed lens to everything I do, blending EMDR, Brainspotting (currently not providing Brainspotting at this time), CBT, somatic processing, and parts work to help clients process safely and at their own pace. I’m especially skilled at helping people uncover patterns shaped by trauma, build nervous system resilience, and reconnect with their inner wisdom. Clients often tell me they feel calmer, more empowered, and more like themselves after our work together. Healing doesn’t have to be rushed—it just has to feel safe.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults who are navigating life transitions, managing anxiety or depression, coping with grief or trauma, and seeking to improve emotional regulation and overall well-being. My ideal clients are motivated to engage in therapy, open to exploring both talk therapy and brain-based approaches, and interested in learning practical skills to manage stress, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change in their lives.

EMDR

I was trained in EMDR in 2023 and I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist as well as an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps clients process traumatic memories by focusing briefly on the memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements. This approach reduces the vividness and emotional intensity of trauma and is an extensively researched, effective method for trauma recovery. Also, I am trained in the Safe and Sound Protocol by Unyte (SSP) and utilize this often in Phase 2 of EMDR. SSL was designed by Dr Stephen Porges. Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care is a way of providing support that recognizes the deep and lasting impact trauma can have on a person’s life, health, and relationships. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?”—trauma-informed care gently asks, “What happened to you?” It honors your lived experience and understands that behaviors, symptoms, and even physical health issues often make sense when viewed through the lens of trauma. In trauma-informed therapy, you can expect: • Emotional and physical safety to be prioritized • Collaborative and respectful relationships between client and therapist • Empowerment and choice, honoring your voice and pace • Awareness of how trauma lives in the body, and tools to reconnect gently • Compassion for all parts of you, even the ones you’ve been taught to hide Whether you’ve experienced narcissistic abuse, religious trauma, or the long-term effects of early emotional neglect, trauma-informed care creates a space where healing can unfold—not through force, but through safety, attunement, and trust.

Hypnotherapy

I am a Level 1 trained hypnotherapist, certified through an ASCH-approved provider, and I integrate hypnotherapy into my work to help clients access relaxation, build coping skills, and support behavior change. I am also enrolled in Level 2 ASCH hypnotherapy training in May 2026 to further deepen my skills and enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Brainspotting

have been trained in Brainspotting since 2019/2020, completing Phase 1 and Phase 2, and I am currently working toward full certification. Brainspotting is a brain-based therapeutic approach that helps identify, process, and release sources of emotional and physical distress stored in the body. It can support trauma resolution, emotional regulation, and overall personal growth.
