Varissa Owens
Welcome to Your Journey to Healing, PLLC ✨ Hi, I’m Varissa Owens, MA, MS, LPC-S, NCC. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should be a space where you can be honest, heard, and accepted without judgment. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Master’s degree in Human Services, and I have provided counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.
Whatever challenges you’re facing, you don’t ever have to face them alone. 💡 As a therapist, my greatest strengths are rooted in empathy, deep listening, and creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can truly be yourself.
My work focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, attachment patterns, and emotional challenges that can make it difficult to feel like yourself. I especially enjoy helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors so they can create meaningful and lasting change. I recognize that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can show up as you are and work at a pace that feels comfortable while still making meaningful progress.
First session
✨ In our first session, my priority is building a genuine connection and creating a space where you feel comfortable opening up. I’ll take the time to truly listen to your story, learn about your background, and understand what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll outline clear goals and design a personalized roadmap for your growth. This is your safe space to share, reflect, and take the first steps toward meaningful, positive change.
Strengths
As a therapist, my greatest strengths are rooted in empathy, deep listening, and creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can truly be yourself. I tailor each session to your unique needs, bringing a genuine commitment to understanding your perspective and working alongside you as a partner in growth. Together, we’ll tap into your strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and cultivate lasting positive change.
