Hi there! Let's sit and chat... Are you looking for a safe space to explore and organize your thoughts and feelings? Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience one another as real people. I can assure you our sessions will be as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for. We'll work on building trust and a sense of safety, using open communication and humor, to identify how we can improve on your already existing coping skills, supports, and knowledge. Although this process may be challenging, we will work to enjoy the process as much as possible, so you can experience yourself, your relationships, and your life in new ways. Simply put, I don't think therapy has to be a painful thing for you. Starting this step can be hard and I would love the opportunity to work with you on this journey. For Private Pay Clients: Individual Sessions: $190/hour Couple/Family Sessions: $230/hour **All couples and families are seen via private pay. This allows us to focus on the relationships in the room, rather than the diagnosis of an individual. **For those out of network, should you meet criteria for a diagnosis accepted by insurance companies, I can provide monthly superbills that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please note that the payments received by the insurance provider as reimbursement may not cover the full service fee and I cannot guarantee reimbursement.

First session

We'll start by discussing where you're at in your life. Where do you live, how do you spend your days? We'll talk about what brings you joy, as well as what doesn't. Where are you stuck? We're going to dissect some of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns to understand why they're there. This will make it easier to find out where the change needs to happen, and how we can get it started.

Strengths

During the 10+ years as a therapist, I have enjoyed helping individuals, couples, and families find healing and understanding in their worlds. Changing the way we view ourselves and the world around us can be a difficult journey, and I am committed to helping you every step of the way.

Ideal clients

I love working with people who are at a turning point in their lives—those who know they want something to change but feel stuck right before taking that next big step. Maybe they’re feeling ready for something different, questioning old patterns, or trying to figure out what comes next. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to grow, curious about themselves, and open to trying new things, even when change feels uncomfortable or scary. I love helping people work through what’s holding them back, make sense of where they are, and find the confidence to move toward the life they want.

Treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I am a Certified EFT therapist and have been extensively trained to work with individuals and couples. Based on attachment science, we'll use EFT to work on restructuring emotional experiences and interactions, changing the core organizing factors in both the self and your key relationships.

Couples Counseling

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I've had the pleasure of working with couples in all stages of their relationships. Couples sessions will begin with our initial meeting, then I'll meet with each person individually to gather information about personal perspectives (but, no secret keeping!), and then continue our sessions with all of us to explore the dynamic of the relationship, what we would like to see change, and figure out how we can grow.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) is a goal-focused, short-term approach which helps you change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. This process will help you identify and explore previous “exceptions,” (times when you have successfully coped with or addressed previous difficulties and challenges) and discover ways these can be incorporated in establishing goals to achieve between sessions.

Courtney made me feel hurt for the first time in years. She gave me hope that we’ll figure it out together.

Courtney is a great therapist. She makes it feel like talking with a good friend but she brings her skills, nonbias, and professionalism to the table. Thanks to her I am able to find new ways to cope and resolve situations. I would highly recommend Courtney!

I was in therapy with Courtney before she came to Grow. I lived with her then so when I needed therapy again I went on the hunt to find her. She is great and I can vibe with her.
