Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session together—my primary focus is getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes me unique as a therapist is that I have an extensive background in Therapy, as well as, in education. Both help me to relate to you better. Clients have greatly appreciated that I can adapt to meet their learning style. My focus is on real, lasting change. The goal is for you to leave sessions aware, and with the tools and skills you can actually use in your everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, coping, depression, medical or health conditions, women's, men's, or career issues. Also, those striving to create a healthier lifestyle. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or in need of clarity, yet are motivated to grow, reset, and move forward with purpose. They know something has to change. They're open to exploring concerns, setting meaningful goals, communicating honestly. They are also invested in the therapeutic process and respect boundaries.

My treatment methods

Supportive

I focus on active listening, validation, and encouragement to help you feel supported throughout your journey. Together, we work to navigate life’s stressors using practical and compassionate guidance.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culture, background, and personal experiences play an important role in how you see the world and navigate challenges. I approach therapy with openness, and non-judgement. Your welcomed to share what feels important to you so we can shape our work in a way that truly fits your needs.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you with empathy and care as you explore what matters most and move toward the growth you’re seeking.

Strength-Based

I focus on helping you recognize and build on the strengths you already have, as well as, the ones you'd like to develop. Even in difficult moments, we are capable of change. My role is to help you identify your strengths and use them in practical ways to improve outcomes, build confidence, and move toward the life you want.

Psychoeducation

Therapy should feel meaningful and useful. By gaining clear understanding and usable skills, you can feel more empowered and better equipped to navigate real-life challenges.
