Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
As a marriage and family therapist, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility by embracing their emotions and thoughts without judgment while committing to values-based actions. ACT enhances my practice by fostering deeper emotional connections between partners and families, encouraging mindful presence, and guiding them toward meaningful behavioral changes aligned with their core values.
Attachment-based
In my practice as a marriage and family therapist, I utilize attachment-based theory to help clients understand how early relational patterns influence their current relationships. By fostering secure emotional connections, I guide couples and families in reshaping negative interaction cycles into healthier, more responsive dynamics.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
As a marriage and family therapist, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills, which are crucial for managing relationship conflicts. I use DBT techniques like mindfulness and validation to foster healthier communication and create more balanced, resilient family dynamics.
Sex Therapy
As a marriage and family therapist, I incorporate sex therapy to help couples and individuals address intimacy issues, sexual dysfunction, and communication barriers within relationships. My experience includes using evidence-based techniques, such as sensate focus and psychoeducation, to foster healthier sexual connections and improve overall relational satisfaction.
Trauma Informed Care
In my practice as a marriage and family therapist, I integrate trauma-informed care by prioritizing safety, trust, and empowerment in every session, ensuring clients feel heard and respected. I use a strengths-based approach to help individuals and families process trauma while fostering resilience and healthy relational dynamics.
