My name is Denise Bennett and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to begin, you are not alone. I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can speak openly, feel heard, and be met with compassion. I work collaboratively with clients as they navigate life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, grief, and periods of uncertainty. Whether you are facing a specific concern or simply seeking a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself, I am here to walk alongside you, at your pace, while honoring your strengths, experiences, and personal goals.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what brings you to therapy. It’s completely natural to feel a bit nervous; starting therapy is a meaningful step. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable to you, and I’ll be there to support and guide you as we build this process together.
My greatest strengths as a therapist include my ability to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space through clear and open communication. I practice active listening and partner with you empathetically, offering space to reflect on your experiences at your own pace. When we are working through challenging or emotional topics, you can expect me to be calm, patient, and fully present, providing steady support throughout the process.
If you’re struggling with anxious thoughts, self-doubt, or feeling overwhelmed, I work with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, grief, chronic illness, relationship concerns, and self-esteem challenges. Together, we will develop practical coping skills and create a personalized plan for growth that feels both empowering and achievable. I approach therapy as a collaborative partnership. We will set goals that reflect what matters most to you, and as you gain new insights and your needs evolve, we will adjust your treatment plan to ensure it remains meaningful and supportive. My role is to provide insight, guidance, and a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings.

From the very beginning, Denise has been warm, kind, caring, curious, helpful & supportive. Each week gets better and better & she also explains "how" and "why" things are working the way they are (which helps me understand the process better). She genuinely seems invested in me & my progress and I look forward to each of our visits. Together, along with finding the right medication that works for me, Denise has helped guide me back toward the "old" me - which actually feels more like a NEW me!
