Leni Kouias
Are you feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, substance use, or a major life transition? Maybe you're feeling stuck, dealing with self-doubt, or just trying to get through day-to-day life and it’s starting to feel like too much. You don’t have to figure it out alone. With years of experience in the mental health field, I provide a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can talk things through without judgment. My approach is collaborative and practical. I work with you to understand what’s going on, what’s getting in the way, and what might actually help in real life.
My mission as a psychotherapist is to assist individuals in developing satisfying and rewarding lives by working through past trauma, exploring negative thinking patterns, and implementing positive coping skills.
I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, stress, substance use and recovery, life transitions, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, and other patterns that can make life feel overwhelming or stuck. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real partnership. You bring your experience and what you know about your life and together, we figure out what makes sense for you and what actually feels doable not just in theory, but in day-to-day life.
First session
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but there's no pressure to have everything figured out. Our first session is simply an opportunity to talk about what's bringing you in, what you'd like support with, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We'll get to know each other, answer any questions you may have, and begin creating a plan that feels right for you.
Strengths
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings with people dealing with a wide range of challenges, including substance use and recovery. I try to keep things practical and down to earth. I’m flexible in how I work and don’t believe one approach fits everyone. I adjust to what each person needs and where they’re at.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with individuals who are working through life transitions, day to day stressors and developing goals to enhance their overall well-being
