Welcome, Tiffany here! I appreciate you considering therapy and visiting my page. I understand life can get heavy, but you don't have to do it alone. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and I've been practicing since 2018. I'm also a certified rehabilitation counselor and I serve those in transition of careers and educational goals. I primarily serve ages 12 into adulthood. I tailor my approach to all ages and provide support based on their needs. I take a holistic approach with the hopes of connecting you with your goals, learning to break patterns and habits that no longer serve you, and to increase your daily feelings of happiness.
In our first session, we will address your concerns about safety, challenges, and the therapy process. We will dive into specific challenges and goals you want to work on. You will have control over the direction we go in therapy. Together we will create your treatment plan to guide your progress.
I’m a culturally competent psychotherapist who embraces all the cultures that make me who I am. I understand the emotions behind being labeled “a mad black woman” while others are seen as assertive and vocal. My approach is centered on meeting my clients where they are emotionally. I create a warm safe space for them to feel empowered and understood.
I am positioned to serve clients who are navigating emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. These individuals may struggle with negative thought patterns, relationship difficulties rooted in attachment issues, or unresolved past experiences. They are seeking a supportive and structured environment to explore their feelings, gain self-awareness, and develop effective coping strategies. My integrative approach, combining CBT, attachment theory, and EMDR therapy, is well-suited for those ready to engage in personal growth and healing.

Attachment-based
Attachment-based treatment is an approach that focuses on the importance of secure and healthy attachments in promoting mental health and emotional well-being. Attachment theory plays a significant role in understanding how early relationships shape our current connections. Clients can expect to explore their attachment styles, which can illuminate patterns in their relationships, whether romantic, familial, or platonic. By gaining insight into these dynamics, clients can work toward building healthier, more fulfilling relationships, enhancing their emotional well-being and connection to others.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of my practice. Clients can anticipate learning to recognize and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to their emotional distress. Through structured sessions, I guide them in developing healthier coping strategies, improving their problem-solving skills, and fostering a more positive mindset.
EMDR
I no longer accept insurance for EMDR therapy. This will be provided via private pay rate only per session. EMDR therapy offers a powerful way to address and process trauma. Clients can expect to engage in a structured approach that helps them reprocess distressing memories. This method not only reduces the emotional charge associated with traumatic experiences but also empowers clients to integrate those experiences into their broader life narrative. Many clients report significant relief from symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD after engaging in EMDR.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my situation and help me to find solutions that will be effective in the long run. I know that this path will not be the easiest to navigate, but I find comfort in knowing that you are willing to assist me along the way.

Very perceptive and asked great questions in the first session. I also appreciated the plan of action that was put forth so that I can see where this is going.
