My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, realistic, and empathetic. I have had the privilege of serving children, teens, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. I specialize in trauma therapy in children and adults and enjoy an experiential approach to healing. I have experience working with domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking survivors. I am trained as a child and adolescent trauma professional, and I am also skilled in assisting in an array of clinical issues including chronic stress and anxiety, trauma, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, various personality disorders, Adoption concerns (Birthparents, Adoptive Parents, and Adoptees), esteem, and self-worth, along with academic and employment challenges. I welcome LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities into my practice. In our sessions, you can expect to see several therapy modalities utilized including Adlerian Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is focused on getting a bigger picture of you. We will go over family history, create goals, and talk about what therapy for you will look like. My approach is to meet you where you’re at and work with you to identify the best treatment options to help. This may look like video game therapy for a teenager or art therapy for an adult working through past trauma. While we can engage in talk therapy, know there are more options to help you feel more comfortable in your mental health journey when working with me.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe one of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a warm, supportive space where children, teens, adults, and families feel safe being themselves. I take a personalized and creative approach to therapy, incorporating interventions such as play therapy, sand tray, art, and practical coping strategies to help clients better understand emotions, build confidence, and navigate life’s challenges. I also value collaboration with parents, schools, and support systems to help clients thrive both in and outside of therapy.

My treatment methods

Play Therapy

Elizabeth is a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) who specializes in using play to help children and adults. This is a great modality to use when working through trauma and hard to talk about topics.

Sandplay

An experiential therapy that uses figures and metaphors to talk about hard things in the sand. When words escape us or it’s hard to talk about, creating a picture of what’s going f on with figures can take the pressure off of the client and places it in the sand.

Experiential Therapy

We utilize walk and talk therapy, video game therapy, Lego, therapy, and Art therapy to work through some of life’s hard challenges as well as learning new skills and tools to help with anxiety and depression.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is good old fashion talk therapy that challenges negative thought patterns and mindsets.
