About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Art Therapist. I completed my Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling at Long Island University. I have clinical experience providing both talk and art therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and groups. I have worked in mental health facilities, medical settings, and in schools. In therapy with me, you can expect to be met with authenticity, empathy, a little humor, insight, and creativity. Together you will build on the strengths you already have to improve your relationships and solve the challenges that have brought you to therapy. I am patient, gentle, and empathetic in my approach to therapy. I meet my clients where they are and assist them on their journey of self-discovery.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together there will be an explanation of confidentiality and what you can expect from therapy. I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy and ask you some questions to explore your current situation, concerns, and goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have the ability to create a safe, non-judgemental space through empathy and active listening. I make sure all my clients feel heard and supported.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults who acknowledge their challenges and are motivated to change. Clients that actively engage in therapy and are open to learning coping skills and working towards breaking negative patterns. Clients that are open to building a strong therapeutic alliance and embrace self-reflection, remain hopeful, and are committed to growth, even through set-backs.

First sessions can be hard. Samantha makes it very easy to open up and relay what you are going through and what you want your experience to look like.
