Jodi Johnson
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 12+ years of experience in Mental Health. I specialize in working with adult women who experience anxiety, adjustment, burn-out, and relationship challenges. I utilize evidence-based treatment to facilitate mindset change and address self-limiting thoughts that prevent clients from feeling productive and fulfilled.
I specialize in working with adult women who experience anxiety, adjustment, burn-out, and relationship challenges.
My goal is to provide clients with a safe therapeutic space to grow, heal, transition, and pivot into their purpose. "There is no standard normal. Normal is subjective. There are seven billion versions of normal on this planet" - Matt Haig
First session
In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we’ll focus on understanding their current concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy. We’ll collaboratively explore what brings them to therapy and begin identifying areas they want to work on. This initial conversation helps set the foundation for our work together and ensures we create a plan that feels supportive and aligned with their needs.
Strengths
My greatest strengths as a provider include my ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I’m skilled at using evidence-based techniques to guide clients in challenging unhelpful thoughts and making meaningful shifts in their lives. Additionally, I bring a balance of compassion and directness, empowering clients to grow with both support and honest reflection.
Ideal clients
I’m especially passionate about working with women who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, burnout, or the pressure of managing it all. I support women of color as they navigate major life transitions, relationship challenges, or the emotional ups and downs of infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum. If you’re seeking clarity, peace, and purpose—this space is for you.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, replacing them with more balanced and constructive ways of thinking. By connecting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, clients can develop practical coping strategies and work toward meaningful change.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Therapy in my practice to help clients focus on their strengths and envision their preferred future. By identifying and building on what is already working, we co-create practical steps toward achieving their goals and fostering a sense of hope and empowerment.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my practice to help clients develop skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This approach supports clients in managing intense emotions and creating balance in their thoughts and behaviors, promoting healthier relationships and overall well-being.
