Hi, I'm Henry Tran, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapy since 2016. For the past seven years, I've worked in a hospital setting, supporting adults through depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, personality disorders, and stress. I've worked with clients across the lifespan, from children to older adults, each bringing their own unique needs and life experiences. This has shaped my ability to adapt and meet people where they are, while grounding my work in a culturally responsive and inclusive lens that honors each client's background and identity. My style is solution-focused and client-centered, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and empowered to grow. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Supportive Therapy, and Mindfulness-based practices, always tailoring our work to fit your unique needs, goals, and pace. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
In our first session, we’ll begin with brief introductions and start building a foundation of trust and collaboration. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from the process. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, identify your goals, and begin outlining a plan that’s tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable taking that first step toward meaningful change.
With twelve years of experience working in non-profits with diverse populations, I bring a flexible and informed approach to therapy. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. My communication style is gentle, open, and attuned. I listen carefully—not just to what’s said, but also to what’s expressed through non-verbal cues—so I can better understand your experience and respond with empathy and insight. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where meaningful change can happen, with the ultimate goal of helping you improve your well-being and overall quality of life.
I work best with clients who seek to explore. Those who want to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Whether you're navigating a difficult life transition, feeling stuck, or simply seeking personal growth, I’m here to support that journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
With over 11 years of experience using this treatment approach, I help clients gain insight into the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through a collaborative process, we work together to identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and explore ways to reframe and modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. My goal is to empower clients with practical tools and strategies that support lasting change and promote emotional well-being.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I incorporate Person-Centered Therapy by creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. This approach emphasizes your capacity for self-discovery and growth. By honoring your experiences and perspectives, I help you tap into your own strengths and insights to find meaningful solutions. Rather than directing the process, I act as a guide—gently helping you explore new perspectives and possibilities, while respecting your autonomy and pace.
Supportive
I provide supportive therapy for individuals navigating chronic illness, life transitions, anxiety, trauma, and grief. Through active listening, psychoeducation, and an integrative approach blending CBT and person-centered principles, I help clients feel heard while building practical tools to cope. With experience across private practice, hospital, and community mental health settings, I meet clients where they are.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I provide mindfulness-based therapy that draws on present-moment awareness, grounding techniques, and psychoeducation to help clients build a healthier relationship with their inner experience. We work together to notice our thoughts and feeling, practice acceptance rather than judgment, which often reduces their intensity. Through this process, clients develop greater self-compassion, learn to respond to distress rather than react automatically to it, and build a stronger capacity to stay grounded even when life feels overwhelming.
