Hello, I'm Cassandra David, an LCSW with over seven years of experience working with high-achieving adults. I specialize in anxiety, self-worth concerns, self-abandonment, people-pleasing, attachment patterns, and the impact of family and cultural expectations.

I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, low self-worth, attachment wounds, depression and the lasting impact of family and cultural expectations.

I often work with clients who have been in therapy before and understand the “why,” but are ready to figure out what to do differently.

First session

In our first session, we’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you want to change, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We’ll begin connecting your current experiences to your relationships, past experiences, and emotional patterns so we can develop a clear direction for our work together based on what you need.

Strengths

What stands out about my approach is that I look beyond surface-level symptoms. I help you connect the dots between your past experiences, relationships, family and cultural expectations, and the patterns you’re repeating today. We’ll turn that insight into practical changes that help you build self-trust, set boundaries, and create healthier relationships.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are high-achieving adults who appear successful and capable on the outside but often struggle internally with anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, self-doubt, or difficulty trusting themselves. I especially enjoy working with first- and second-generation adults navigating family and cultural expectations, boundary guilt, relationship patterns, and the pressure to always be the responsible one. They’re ready to understand their patterns, build self-trust, and create meaningful change.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop practical ways to shift patterns that are no longer serving you.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy helps us understand how early experiences and relationships shape the way you connect with yourself and others. We’ll explore patterns such as people-pleasing, fear of rejection, avoidance, or difficulty setting boundaries.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy helps us explore how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns continue to influence how you think, feel, and respond today. Understanding these deeper patterns can create lasting change rather than simply managing symptoms.
