About me

Hi there! My name is Lana Trapp, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe therapy is a uniquely transformative process and that the benefits are endless. I find it extremely rewarding and truly an honor to be invited into one's life and inner world. My priority is to create a safe and supportive space in therapy in order to build and promote trust throughout the therapeutic process. I am here to get to know you and what you are wanting from therapy. I will support you always and challenge you when needed and appropriate. I have a supportive, flexible and easy-going personality. I also believe laughter and humor have a place in therapy. I cannot imagine doing any other kind of work. Helping others and being part of one's therapeutic journey are passions of mine. This is where I am meant to be, and I do hope our paths cross for I would love to work with you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will complete the intake assessment. This assessment will consist of questions related to your past, present, family, relationships, strengths, goals. and current struggles. We will determine if we are a good fit for one another and I will answer any questions you may have. We will look at scheduling if you choose to continue with sessions and our journey will begin!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My goal in working with you is getting you to a happier, healthier place in your life. Sometimes we know what the barriers in our lives are, and other times we need to do some exploration. With either or both, we will set on a journey to create positive change in your life. Each journey is unique and tailored to your specific needs and wants.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My passion populations are the LGBTQ+ community, those recovering from trauma, and struggling with relationship issues. I enjoy working with teens, adults and older adults. I utilize Strength-Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Solution Focused approaches. I use individualized approaches, meaning once I get to know you, I will use treatment approaches that are best suited for your unique needs.
