Hello and welcome, my name is Angelica and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My specialty is working with adults coping with depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship issues, family dynamics, feeling disconnected, life changes, grief and loss, and overall feelings of “feeling stuck” and overwhelmed. I am here to provide you with a listening ear and a warm and nonjudgmental space. I want to help you live authentically and empowered. We will get curious about your thoughts, behaviors, beliefs, feelings, and how they affect your life and relationships. Together, we will walk the path of growth, healing, and self-love. Congratulations for taking this next step into your growth. Thank you for taking the time to read about me, I hope we make a good fit.
During our first session, we will get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to get out of therapy, and how I can use my experience and training to assist you.
My strengths are that I am genuinely interested in who you are as a person and staying present with you in the moment. My hope is to guide you back to yourself by gently guiding you to trusting and loving yourself by connecting the mind, body, and spirit.
I love working with adults who are seeking to understand themselves better and who are interested in getting curious about their behaviors, patterns, and relationships.

I enjoy using CBT to help bring awareness of how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. CBT helps to identify inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
DBT has helped my clients by acknowledging the need for change in a context of acceptance of situations while recognizing and managing our many conflicting emotions.
I practice from a systems approach, which means that I view clients’ actions, thoughts, and feelings as a result of the systems within which they live. Seeing ourselves within a system can bring greater understanding and compassion for ourselves and others.
