About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in California and Nevada, specializing in individual and group therapy. I have over 20 years of experience providing services to adults and adolescents including case management, and individual and group therapy. I work with clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and other modalities to help them learn how to recognize and change unhealthy or painful patterns in their lives. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and career challenges. I have also helped people who have experienced physical trauma and/or emotional abuse. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. The work is not always easy or comfortable but it is rewarding and it has the power to bring lasting positive change to our lives. I hope to be able to bring what I've learned to my work with clients. Not as an expert or someone with all the answers but as a coach or guide. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

As first impressions go, Shaye was great. Her introduction made me feel comfortable. She was a good listener. I think her method of counseling will be helpful. I don't need a shoulder to cry on, I need someone to straight talk with me. Shaye can do that without being mean.
