I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience. I help my clients get healthier at home and at work. I help my clients feel at greater ease with their own emotions, develop a sturdier and healthier sense of self, and work through any past issues (including trauma, neglect or abuse) that may be unresolved and holding them back.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I want to get a lay of the land - I want to know what you're struggling with, what holds you back, what you want out of your life and what you want to create. Perhaps we will explore these questions: Do you feel good in your most important relationships? Do you feel like you can achieve your goals? What work or relationship patterns do you wish you could change? What are your coping strategies? How do you deal with your most difficult thoughts or emotions? What did you learn from childhood that you still value? What did you learn from childhood that no longer serves you? Have you ever experienced disruptive or life-altering events? What were those events like? Did you feel cared for while going through them? What do you want to grow in your life?

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

The language of therapy includes what is spoken and unspoken. I listen for what is said and left unsaid. We usually don't need help with the ideas we already have, we need help bringing what is not yet developed into fruition. I help my clients grow into becoming who they need to be. It is an honor and privilege, and I truly love it.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I believe that relationships heal. We can learn to undo patterns from the past and create new, healthier and constructive patterns.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I help parents find their way. Parenting is hard work, both physically and emotionally, and some of us could use a roadmap.

Attachment-based

Some of our relational patterns come from our earliest relationships. I help my clients re-work and re-wire early patterns.

Couples Counseling

Couples sometimes need help getting past the honeymoon stage and into the real deal. So many of us have not had healthy conflict resolution, healthy communication, or healthy relational habits modeled to us. Some couples are also needing help dealing with big life changes, recovering from incidents of betrayal, or help making critical life decisions. I'm here to work on these things and more!

EMDR

I work with ongoing and incident-specific trauma. I use trauma-specific techniques to help clients process and move through traumatic life incidents.
