With 35 years of experience as a social worker, I have had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages—from children and teens to couples and families. Over the years, I have honed a deep understanding of the unique challenges people face, whether it's managing depression, anxiety, or navigating difficult life transitions. I believe in the power of a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. Adolescence is a pivotal stage in a person's life, filled with unique challenges and opportunities for growth. As a retired special education social worker and school-based health center social worker from the Jefferson Parish School System, I have found working with teenagers to be particularly rewarding. Teenagers possess a refreshing honesty and openness that makes them receptive to guidance and advice. I have enjoyed the privilege of witnessing the willingness of adolescents to listen and actively engage in making positive changes in their lives. This eagerness to learn and grow is truly inspiring. My experience working with teenagers has highlighted the importance of providing support and guidance during this critical stage of development. By fostering a safe and supportive environment, we can empower adolescents to navigate challenges, overcome obstacles, and strive towards a brighter future. Adolescents have the potential to make meaningful changes for the better, and it is a privilege to be a part of their journey towards self-discovery and personal growth. As a good listener, I am committed to working alongside you to create a treatment plan that reflects your unique needs and aspirations. Together, we'll focus on your goals and take meaningful steps towards you becoming the best version of yourself. I am excited about the opportunity to work with you and support your journey to healing and growth.
I want to get to know who you are and what you want in therapy. Together we will come up with a plan to help you achieve your goals.
I am a good listener and will be empathetic to your needs.
I have enjoyed working with adolescents and their families to navigate the changes and growth during this challenging time in their lives. Frequent anxiety and depression screenings are important to gauge progress and monitor safety. It's vital that adolescents feel heard and acknowledged. I am a good listener, my attention fully on their words. I genuinely care about teenagers and their well-being, a warmth radiating from my concern. I want to facilitate them in reaching their goals and full potential, guiding them toward their brightest futures.
