About me

I am an empathic, bilingual (¡y bicultural!) BIPOC therapist deeply committed to trauma healing and breaking generational cycles. With a foundation in clinical training, I blend ancestral wisdom and a sprinkle of Spanglish to create a warm, authentic space where healing can truly begin. My passion is to hold sacred space for marginalized communities—especially those navigating identity, intergenerational trauma, and systemic stressors. In our work together, you’ll find a therapist who sees you, hears you, and shows up fervently for your healing journey. I understand the layered impacts of oppression on mental health.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

From our first session, I focus on establishing a therapeutic environment rooted in safety, transparency, and mutual trust.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Therapy isn’t something I do to you—it’s something we build together. You have choices, voice, and control every step of the way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals of color who are navigating the intersection of personal, racial, and gender-based trauma. Clients who benefit most from this approach often feel unseen or misunderstood in mainstream therapeutic settings and seek a space that validates their lived experiences without requiring them to educate the therapist. Ultimately, I am positioned to serve those who are ready to move from survival to thriving by acknowledging the "whole person," including their cultural identity, gender, and personal history of trauma.

My treatment methods

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I will take the time to learn from you about how your cultural identity influences your life, rather than making assumptions. This is a space where your experiences with discrimination, identity, or cultural expectations are heard, understood, and validated. It means I respect your cultural values, religious beliefs, and family traditions. I will work with you, not against them, to create a comfortable space for you

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts determine our feelings, which drive our behaviors. If we change the way we think, we can change the way we feel and act. The ultimate goal is for you to learn these coping strategies so well that you can apply them to future challenges on your own.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

We will look at how your reactions create a negative pattern. We will look for the deeper feelings. We will work on expressing these vulnerable feelings directly to each other, which fosters empathy and repairs the attachment bond.

Interpersonal

We focus on what is happening in your life now, rather than dwelling on the distant past. We will review your relationships to identify the main problem area. We will work directly on these issues, improving how you communicate and handle emotions. We will focus on bringing these new skills into your future to prevent symptoms from returning.

Supportive

You will have a chance to voice your thoughts and feelings, and I will validate your experiences, helping you feel understood and supported. Instead of fixing you, we will work together to boost your innate strengths and adaptive coping skills. The goal is to help you maintain or improve your daily life.
