Licensed to practice in California and accepts 59 insurances. Specializes in Anxiety, Coping Skills, LGBTQ and 8 more.
I am a psychologist and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide teletherapy to adult individuals and couples residing in California. I work with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem issues, chronic illness, LGBTQ issues, career concerns, life transitions, relationship issues with partners, family members, and parent/child conflict. My methods of therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radical Acceptance, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Directed Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Interpersonal (Talk) Therapy.
In our first session, I will discuss with the client their purpose in seeking therapy, the symptoms which have caused them to seek help, and some initial coping skills which they can start using right away to manage their stress.
For several years, I have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds and ages, who deal with anxiety on a regular basis. This has affected their relationships, careers, physical and emotional health. I have put together a program for reducing their symptoms using relaxation breathing techniques, reframing of negative thoughts, and developing assertiveness skills which allows them to express their needs while respecting others.
What if you could prove your doctor wrong and manage your anxiety without resorting to medication? Are you like many of my clients struggling with uncertainty around mounting bills, career concerns, or relationship/family issues that lead to anxiety or panic attacks? If this sounds like you, I want to introduce you to the three strategies my most successful clients use to turn off anxiety and turn on inner peace: 1. Master the skill of breathing techniques which relax your mind and body. 2. Reframe your inner dialogue to boost your self-esteem. 3. Learn to express your needs while respecting others. I've helped many clients like you, and I've done this with online therapy (video), which means you never have to leave home to get the help you need. All you need to get started is an effective internet connection, and a private space for yourself (and yes, your closet will do). If you're ready to reduce the stress caused by anxiety, and improve your relationships and communication skills at the same time, then let's get started!

I liked how she was listening very attentively and thoroughly. It felt like she really was concerned about my problems and concerns and what I was worried about. Not dismissive of my problems or feelings like others have been

Ms Marquardt has little to no experience understanding and or compassion for Black lived experience and the journey to survival of black gay men. She couldn't get over how I could survive a difficult living condition and be functional or resilient. I do not recommend her for men of Color gay or straight

Thank you. I could say a lot, but just thank you for now. I look forward to the next session and will spend time doing the things that were suggested until then.
