New to Grow
I have almost 10 years of experience in this field of work. Most of it has been with the geriatric population within various settings, as well as with individuals challenged with a severe mental illness in forensic environments. I am very familiar with the impact of trauma on the life cycle. Additionally, I work with young adults navigating school-work-life-family balance, setting priorities, making challenging life decisions and developing self esteem and confidence while learning to maneuver life's ongoing challenges.
Please come as you are. Our session will be a pleasant, friendly conversation.
Like everyone else, I have experienced my share of challenges in life, be it cultural, relational, spiritual and occupational. My personal life experiences allow me to see, feel and understand your dilemma and pain. They have helped me to develop and create coping skills that have supported my growth which I can gladly share with you.
I specialize in working with adults feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety and overthinking, or challenges with ongoing heaviness of depression. Everyday struggles of racing against the clock in our hurried and busy society, having a hard time setting priorities, managing your time, your stress and your family. Advancing age and grief of losing your loved ones. Please come as you are. Our session will be a pleasant, friendly conversation.

CBT is widely used by therapists as a goal oriented practice to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns.
CFT helps us to learn to redirect our harsh inner critic toward a supportive, self-compassionate inner voice.
As a Catholic Christian myself, I strongly believe that our healing process can benefit from a holistic approach (mind, body, spirit) integrating our spiritual and religious beliefs, using prayer, scripture and faith-based values alongside traditional psychological techniques.
Talking about our grief, anger, guilt, sadness helps reduce the intensity of emotions experienced. Using CBT, Narrative therapy helps reframe our thoughts and prevent our grief to worsen. Although more complex grief, such as sudden or traumatic losses require a more intense treatment preferably using EMDR.
Being mindful of the present moment, observing our thoughts and bodily sensations and emotions without judgment brings us closer to acceptance and breaking free from unhelpful thinking and behaviors and learn healthier emotion regulation skills.
