Hello! I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen and heard. With over a decade of experience supporting people through life’s biggest transitions, from the joys and challenges of maternal health to the complexities of geriatric care, I’ve learned that while every story is unique, our need for connection is universal. Whether you’re facing work, family, or peer issues or finding your way as an adult navigating a difficult season, I’m here to help you turn obstacles into meaningful successes.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is about creating a foundation of trust. You can expect a respectful, unbiased environment where your experiences are validated. I am dedicated to understanding your unique perspective and ensuring you feel accepted and supported from the very start of our work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I offer a space of genuine acceptance and deep understanding. My approach is rooted in a commitment to a respectful, unbiased relationship, ensuring that no matter your background or life experience, you have a safe place to be heard and supported.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to support those who feel overwhelmed by the weight of daily life. This may show up as persistent anxiety, a low mood, or simply the feeling of being 'stuck.' My ideal client is someone looking for a partner to help them navigate relationship complexities, whether that means setting healthy boundaries with family or finding deeper, more meaningful connections with partners and peers.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help you realize that you are the author of your own story, and the problem is the problem... the problem is not you. By externalizing challenges like anxiety or family conflict, we can look at them objectively. Together, we’ll identify the strengths and values you’ve used in the past to 'rewrite' chapters where you felt stuck, helping you move toward a future that feels more authentic to who you really are."
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you identify the invisible 'scripts' or thought patterns that fuel anxiety and low mood. Together, we look at how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviors. By gaining awareness of these patterns, we can test their accuracy and develop practical, real-time tools to shift your perspective. This isn't just about talking; it's about giving you concrete strategies to use the moment you feel overwhelmed.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help you find the balance between acceptance and change. If you often feel overwhelmed by intense emotions, we work on practical skills for 'distress tolerance' and emotional regulation. This approach is about giving you a solid floor to stand on when life feels chaotic, teaching you how to stay present and manage difficult moments without feeling like they are defining you.
