About me

Welcome! I'm Danyelle, affectionately known as Ms. Dee by many of my clients. As a seasoned California-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 17 years of dedicated service, I bring a wealth of experience in from diverse clinical settings. My journey began with a passion for helping others navigate life's challenges, leading me to specialize in areas such as medical social work, foster care, juvenile sex offenders, clinical supervision, and mental health therapy. Therapy is a collaborative journey. I walk alongside my clients, offering empathy, insight, and evidence-based interventions to promote resilience and well-being. My approach integrates therapeutic modalities, tailored to meet your specific needs and cultural background.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a "Meet and Greet," where we'll have brief introductions and begin to establish a therapeutic relationship and whether we're a good fit for each other. This session is an opportunity to share what challenges you are facing and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we will prioritize your goals and create a plan for your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my empathy, authenticity, and collaborative approach. I create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, seen, and valued, empowering them to explore their challenges and discover their strengths. I am dedicated to fostering resilience and well-being through evidence-based interventions tailored to your specific needs and cultural context.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with diverse populations and pride myself on being culturally aware and sensitive. My practice is rooted in a profound commitment to honoring the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual I work with. Whether you're an emerging adult finding your way in the world, an older adult navigating life-transitions, or a woman or parent dealing with grief and loss surrounding pregnancy and fertility, I am here to support you. Whether you're navigating a challenging life transition, seeking support for mental health concerns, experiencing work stressors/grief (EAP), or simply exploring personal growth, I'm here to support you. Let's embark on this journey together towards healing and empowerment.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I employ a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic. CBT helps to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors, while DBT enhances skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Psychodynamic therapy explores unconscious processes, offering insights into patterns of thinking and feeling that may impact personal growth.
