Hello! I was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania and have spent the past ten years providing mental health support in outpatient, school, and community settings.

I was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania and have spent the past ten years providing mental health support in outpatient, school, and community settings.

My experience includes working as a Behavior Specialist, outpatient therapist and family therapist, supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate a range of emotional and relational challenges. I have a systemic approach using relational and attachment-based theories.

First session

In our first session, we will begin building a therapeutic rapport, giving you the opportunity to determine whether you feel comfortable working with me as your therapist. Throughout treatment, we’ll continue to strengthen that connection. I will provide active listening as we explore your goals and what you hope to gain from therapy. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, and together we will establish a clear direction for your treatment.

Strengths

As a compassionate and understanding therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and stressors to achieve personal growth and become healthier versions of themselves. I use a strength-based approach to treatment, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reframe negative thinking and provide new perspectives. I also use psychoeducation to teach and support the development of skills that help regulate the nervous system.

Ideal clients

I take pride in providing a safe, empathetic environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. My goal is to create a sense of security while helping individuals build skills and learn techniques to support healthier emotional functioning. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. I also support clients navigating life transitions, relational conflict, and complex family dynamics.

Treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Focusing on individual needs and goals, encouraging self discovery and self acceptance throughout treatment.

Psychoeducation

Helping individuals to understand their mental health conditions, symptoms and treatment.

Motivational Interviewing

Supporting individuals in exploring their own feelings and internal motivations for change.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Helping individuals process traumatic experiences, manage related symptoms like anxiety and intrusive thoughts, and develop coping mechanisms to reduce distress and improve overall well-being

Attachment-based

To understand the impact of early childhood experiences, to heal attachment wounds, and working to develop healthier relationships.

I was attracted to her because it said she is Christian and family solutions oriented. She is extremely warm and open minded and she has opened my mind to so many things. I look forward to our sessions and greatly enjoy and appreciate her. She’s helped me grow:)
