I like to help people, whether that be with anxiety, depression, trauma, or neurodiversity. Let's work together to move towards your goals. I've worked in a variety of settings through my career, which has allowed me to help people with a wide range of needs and diagnoses. Whether you're an individual looking to process and meet for talk therapy, or a couple wanting to build communication skills, or someone interested in trying Brainspotting, a brain-body alternative therapy, let's work together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

If you were to give a PowerPoint presentation on the big points of your life, what are the things you'd want me to know from the beginning? While we're building trust, I'm interested in knowing what brings you to therapy now. What have your past experiences with therapy been like? On your end, it's important to check in with how comfortable you are talking to the person across from you. My best advice is to find 3 possible therapists you can reach out to and do a consultation with. From there, talk to them and see which one matches what you're looking for.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a social worker, I recognize just how detrimental the systems we live within are to our mental health. Things like racism, capitalism, ableism and more all take a physical toll on us. So how do we continue to live and push through? I think community and connecting to others is one of the biggest protective factors for mental health. As a therapist, I do my best to help you understand your brain and how to manage your mental health.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice is mainly geared towards adults. I've found that teenagers have a hard time with only receiving telehealth services, rather than consistent in person options. I provide both individual and couples therapy (polyamorous and monogamous). Clients may find me to be a good fit if they are feeling motivated and prepared to work on themselves. Typically, I'd want to meet with a client at least once a month.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

By working together, we'll use cognitive restructuring to process trauma memories safely, and reduce symptoms and behaviors developed due to experiencing trauma. At the same time, we'll also build up grounding and coping skills to be able to emotionally regulate when triggered and then continue on into building distress tolerance.

Gender-affirming therapy

There are a lot of stressors on us in the transgender and gender non-conforming community. Whether you are starting to figure out your gender or well-established, I'm happy to support you in your journey.

Narrative

What are the stories you tell about yourself? What beliefs do you hold and how do they shape the way you see the world? This style of therapy is helpful when looking to change the way you view yourself and the world you live in.

Working with this therapist has been incredibly helpful. They create a comfortable space to talk through family issues and anxiety, and I always feel supported and understood. I’ve learned a lot and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and compassionate therapist.

Thought Dani was very down-to-earth, respectful, listened, and asked good questions. We felt comfortable with her from the start. Truly glad we made a connection as that isn't always easy to do right off the bat.
