I'd say my upbringing inspired me from my home to school. I have seen and heard mental health being mentioned as important and encouraged to take care of. I'd say full circle of having gone to therapy, becoming a therapist, and providing therapy is rewarding in itself, I'd have to put a paragraph explaining why, so I'll leave it as that. I look at therapy as a unique relationship that both mirrors and overlaps qualities of a good friend, parent, sibling, partner, etc., where both the therapist and client focus on tackling the concerns he/she presents in therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I'd say a client can expect a thorough therapy session where any progress is made in your life in any form that day and time. It could be something I said or a question you asked, I want you to walk away from session better than before.Initially, when we meet and talk, I'll formulate ideas of what we can do as I ask questions, and you, too. I like to break it down into SMART goals ( Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound) of the game plan. Overall we'll agree to land on what feels right as what the game plan for our sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a therapist is creating a a blend of a warm, nonjudgmental professional space where clients feel safe to explore their struggles openly. I bring empathy, authenticity, and collaborative support, helping clients gain clarity, build on their strengths, and make meaningful, lasting changes at their own pace.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I've had opportunity to serve diverse population of clients from families to couples to kids. Currently I am season of seeing prospective individual clients from ages 13-64. I am adaptable and will work with any client to get the concerns addressed and solved. Ideally I like clients that are open and willing to do the work in therapy with the therapist to best of their ability.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my private practice, I use Person-Centered Therapy to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and valued. By offering empathy, acceptance, and authenticity, I support clients in exploring their experiences, building self-awareness, and fostering growth toward their own goals and sense of well-being.

Motivational Interviewing

I've learned motivational interviewing from my graduate studies, past jobs working as a therapist at hospital to non-profit settings serving general population. I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change. Through empathy, reflective listening, and collaborative conversation, I support clients in clarifying their values, strengthening motivation, and building confidence to make meaningful changes that align with their personal goals and priorities.
