Olga Garcia
Since 2012 I have supported children and adults through life's stages helping shift unwanted, co-existing patterns driven by negative narratives. By connecting and understanding your experiences, we will open a new perspective of your mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health. With a warm, psychodynamic approach, I pull from modalities like EMDR, IFS and object-relations theory.
Strengths
I believe in giving patients space to process. Silence can be a powerful tool and is dependent on your meaning of it to you. I look to explore that meaning with you, to help you break through thoughts and emotions around how YOU taking the lead in your sessions, can feel and contribute to your experience of healing.
Ideal clients
My ideal CLT is an insightful adult who is ready to understand the deeper patterns shaping their relationships, self-worth, anxiety, anger, or grief. They may have a history of trauma, attachment wounds, or major life transitions and want more than coping skills. They value a warm, thoughtful space where psychodynamic approaches are felt and support the foundation of lasting change and personal growth.
Origin story
I've felt called to this work since a young age. After graduate school, I worked closely with survivors of domestic violence and later, more broadly with victims of crime which included supporting children, parents, couples, survivors and offenders. Working in the area of trauma has deepened my empathy, expanded my perspective and continues to guide how I support clients in making sense of their experiences. Im thankful for the exchange that takes place in the framework of therapy; all of our experience, between provider and patient, are present and accessed to grant you an opportunity for change.
