My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a therapeutic technique designed to help individuals process distressing or traumatic memories, reducing the emotional impact that trauma can have on the nervous system. During EMDR therapy, clients engage in bilateral stimulation, which aids them in processing troubling events, often leading to a sense of resolution after treatment.

Relational

I am a relational therapist and believe that relationships are present in every aspect of our lives, including those with colleagues, intimate partners, friends, family and within therapeutic settings. The therapeutic relationship itself is essential for identifying patterns of interaction and helping clients develop healthier relational behaviors outside of the therapy space.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps folks identify and become aware of inner thoughts and emotions, then challenges them by building coping skills to improve emotional health. In CBT, we change behaviors, leading to different actions and outcomes. CBT is a good place to start to improve emotional well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, is designed to help people manage strong emotions, reduce harmful behaviors, and build better relationships by finding a balance between acceptance and change. The four main parts of DBT are mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
